Ashley Broussard
Ashley Broussard is an author from Lafayette, Louisiana—an insurance agent by day and a novelist by night. She writes emotionally resonant fiction about marriage, family, grief, and the complicated truths people carry between them.
She is the author of After Sarah Jane, a contemporary women’s fiction novel about a New Orleans couple still living in the aftermath of their young daughter’s death when the discovery of a betrayal forces a wife to question what she believed about her husband, their marriage, and the years they survived together.
She is currently at work on her second novel, The Good Husband, an emotionally layered story about marriage, family, grief, and what happens when the people left behind must reconcile the person they loved with the truths they never knew.
When she’s not writing, Ashley spends time with her little Broussard family, including two spirited Schnauzers named Max and Annie. You’ll often find her on the porch with a cup of strong coffee, watching the light shift across the eaves like memory. She believes in handwritten letters, anything pink, slow mornings, and the kind of stories that leave something behind.
